Punjab Public Service Commission PPSC
The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) is a government agency in the Punjab province of Pakistan that is responsible for recruiting and selecting individuals for various civil service positions in the provincial government. The PPSC was established in April 1937 and is headquartered in Lahore. The commission conducts tests and interviews to select suitable candidates for various civil service positions such as administrative, police, education, health, and other sectors.
The PPSC is an independent and autonomous body that operates under the guidance and supervision of the Punjab government. The commission consists of a chairman and several members who are appointed by the governor of Punjab on the recommendation of the chief minister. The chairman and members of the PPSC are responsible for conducting fair and transparent recruitment processes and ensuring that candidates are selected based on merit and competency.
The PPSC also provides guidance and advice to the Punjab government on matters related to civil service recruitment and selection, and it also has the authority to conduct inquiries and investigations into complaints of maladministration or corruption in the civil service.
