The Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) is the primary regulatory body responsible for regulating the pharmaceutical industry in Pakistan. It is an autonomous organization under the administrative control of the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination.
DRAP’s main objective is to ensure the availability of safe, effective, and quality pharmaceutical products in the country. It establishes and enforces standards for the registration, manufacturing, import, sale, and distribution of drugs. DRAP also monitors drug prices and takes action against the illegal sale and manufacturing of counterfeit or substandard drugs.
