WAPDA Jobs

The Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) is a government-owned public utility company in Pakistan that was established in 1958. Its headquarters are located in Lahore, Pakistan. WAPDA’s main responsibilities include the development and management of Pakistan’s water and hydropower resources, as well as the provision of affordable and sustainable electricity to the citizens of Pakistan.

WAPDA is responsible for the construction, operation, and maintenance of a number of large dams, reservoirs, canals, and power stations across Pakistan, including the Tarbela Dam and Mangla Dam. It also operates a number of thermal power stations, as well as several small and medium-sized hydroelectric power plants.

WAPDA has a number of subsidiary companies, including the National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC) and the Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO), which are responsible for the transmission and distribution of electricity across Pakistan.

In addition to its core activities, WAPDA is also involved in a number of social welfare initiatives, such as providing clean drinking water to rural areas and supporting education and healthcare programs in underserved communities.
